Overview

Although our Pure Harvest Enterprise product (powered by Oracle Application Server) is widely accepted in the industry, high third party licensing costs can make it unsuitable for small customers. To meet this need, we are building Seed Hub which uses Open Source and low cost tools.

Seed Hub will offer a subset of the features of our enterprise product, Pure Harvest, as well as some exclusive features.

This page lays out a general plan for future pricing, but as of 10/2009 all services are free.

Communication – No Fees.

Electronic communication between the SeedHub user and any Pure Harvest client is provided at no charge

Extended Services – Various fees may apply

Software support for agriculture processes from trials to inventory to sales will soon be available as Pure Harvest modules. These features will start with modest abilities and modest fees. As we add power to the system, we will package our products in such a way that customers with limited needs are not priced out of the service. Through Seed Hub, Pure Harvest will offer a set of extended services priced on a per user, per month basis. Service costs will vary from $15 per month for basic services up to $60-75 per month for the full service product including contracts, inventory and sales management.

Lab Results

( This feature is on hold because our Pure Harvest product has become more affordable for small labs in 2009.)

Any lab that is not using Pure Harvest Software for Seed Labs can still use SeedHub to communicate lab results to customers. Data files and PDF results can be uploaded to SeedHub, or data can be manually entered on line.

1 $25 per month allows up to 50 sample results to be entered, with unlimited tests per sample. The Online Lab module will not do complex calculations.

2 PDF reports are automatically generated and transferred to the customer by email and stored on seedhub.

Inventory

A web accessible inventory tracking system allows the user to create seed lots and make regular adjustments to show remaining seed on hand. The inventory is automatically tied to Pure Harvest lab results. This is perfect for foundation seed programs.

Sales

Advertising

• This has not been a big hit, and will probably be withdrawn.

Through the Seed Hub market place, you will be able to advertise your available seed, and announce seed you are looking for. This will be a business-to-businees service. All arrangements for sales and deliveries will be made between the parties.

1. We currently use a third party product for this, but you can create an ad directly from your seed inventory definition.

Downloads and Exports

Data that is entered into Seed Hub will be easily downloadable so that you can have your own copy of all your Seed Hub data. We can provide customized options for customers with unique needs.

Technology

Seed Hub is powered by free or low cost open source products such as Linux, Apache, PHP, Perl, MySql, EnterpriseDB and Oracle XE. These products are reliable and commonly used by organizations of all sizes. Even though the technology is reliable, the Seed Hub product set will not include the power and features of our existing Oracle based product, so large customers and customers with complex needs should consider Pure Harvest Enterprise powered by Oracle Application Server.

Pricing Details:

1 As the Seed Hub service evolves, packaging and pricing changes will be necessary.

2 Prices will be good for one year from start of a subscription, and existing customers will be given six month notice of any price increases.

3 Customers who do not wish to upgrade to new products and prices can continue to use the older products for two years after replacement products are released
